About Us
The purpose of SEAL is to provide a forum for students passionate about education law and policy to engage with critical issues affecting public education. SEAL envisions a future where quality public education is a right accessible to all individuals, fostering equity, growth, and opportunity within every community. We define quality education through our Core Four Pillars: 1. A Place We Want to Be: Schools should be welcoming, safe, and inspiring spaces for students, with infrastructure and resources that promote creativity, well-being, and a love for learning. 2. A Place We Want to Teach: Attracting and retaining passionate, skilled educators from different backgrounds is essential for the success of public education. 3. A Place We Want to Help: Strengthening the role of support staff—counselors, librarians, paraprofessionals, custodians, etc.—is vital for creating a comprehensive and nurturing educational ecosystem. 4. A Place to Excel: Public schools should empower every student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for a future of meaningful contributions to society.
