About Us
M.A.P.S. is an association dedicated to serve Rutgers-Newark students who are interested in any health related profession; including allopathic and osteopathic medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary, ophthalmology, and others. Our goal is to help make the professional health field more diverse by providing opportunities to students belonging to underrepresented groups in medicine. By providing information on admissions, shadowing, internships, scholarships, preparation in standardized exams and community service opportunities we hope to increase the number of minority students applying and getting accepted into professional health schools.
