Experience a powerful, immersive experience where movement, music, art, and storytelling come together to honor the richness of immigrant heritage. In Honoring Immigrant Heritage at Rutgers University-Newark, this dynamic workshop invites participants to explore diverse cultural sounds and polyrhythms through creative movement, collaborative art, and meaningful conversations about mental health and wellbeing.

Through guided activities, prompts, multimedia exploration, and intentional movement, participants will connect deeply with themes of cultural identity, resilience, and healing that draws rich inspiration from how immigrant communities have historically used the arts as a source of strength, community and healing. The experience is welcoming and accessible to all, offering multiple ways to engage, reflect, and express.
As a group, we will create a personalized custom canvas and participants will leave with practical strategies for wellbeing, and a renewed sense of connection to self and community. This allows participants to carry their stories forward with confidence and purpose.
