Are you ready to join a nationally award-winning team and become a voice for change on campus? If you’re looking for a role that combines professional leadership training, community advocacy, and—let’s be real—free food, you’ve found your match.

At the Health Promotion Division (HPD), we don’t just talk about wellness; we create a culture where students actually thrive. We are looking for the next generation of leaders to help us champion social justice and mental health at RU-N.

Why Join the HPD Movement?

This isn’t your average campus job. As a Peer Educator, you’ll gain national certifications and master high-level skills in:

  • Public Speaking & Leadership

  • Social Justice Advocacy (Racism, LGBTQ+ rights, & Sex Positivity)

  • Crisis Intervention & Mental Health Awareness

  • Strategic Health Promotion

Choose Your Path: Two Teams, One Mission

1. Student Health Advocates (SHA) | The Influencers Become a campus catalyst. Through interactive exhibits and public speaking, SHAs break down the wellness issues that matter most. You won't just be sharing resources; you’ll be shifting the campus culture.

2. Unity Theatre | The Creators No experience? No problem. Unity uses applied theatre and improvisation to spark dialogue. As an actor-educator, you’ll perform scenes that help your peers practice bystander intervention and navigate real-life social justice challenges.

Bonus Career Growth: Once you've mastered the Peer Educator role, you can level up to become a Peer Wellness Coach. You’ll lead one-on-one sessions to help fellow students build custom "thriving plans." (Requires a 40-hour summer intensive).

The Fine Print (Commitment & Eligibility)

We invest heavily in our team, so we’re looking for students who are ready to commit from Summer 2026 through Spring 2027.

  • Eligibility: Must be a current student graduating in 2027 or later. (Class of 2026, we love you, but this one isn't for you!)

  • Weekly Vibe: Training happens every Friday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. It’s the best way to end your week—guaranteed.

Mark Your Calendar:

  • Team Orientation: June 3, 2026

  • Midnight Madness: Late Aug/Early Sept

  • HPD Leadership Retreat: Oct 2–4, 2026

  • Leadership Day: Feb 6, 2027

Ready to Lead?

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. To secure your spot in the interview room, submit your application by March 23, 2026.
