About Us

The Organization of African Students is an organization dedicated to increasing the cultural, historical, political, and economic awareness about the many countries of Africa and their relationship with the rest of the world. The organization's goals are to educate the Rutgers Community as well as the Newark Community about African Heritage through performing arts/ community service and academic panels that reflect on the issues in Africa while also maintaining strong ties with other campus organizations that are receptive to campus diversity.
