About Us
Welcome to the first Official Chess Organization at The University of Rutgers-Newark! We are the Raider Rooks, and our mission here is to provide students with a comfortable but competitive environment through the widely-known sport of chess. We plan to allow students the opportunity to challenge themselves through this complex yet intriguing game while simultaneously building a collective and easy-going community that respects all individuals, their beliefs, and ways of life.
